Traditional African instruments koras, kalimbas, adungus, endongos, drums blend with guitars, drawing on influences from around the globe. Meanwhile, Chef Eric is working on appetizers and entrees like: Sambusa - Crispy Triangular Wonton Pockets with Spicy Beef Stuffing Lentil Hummus with Crudités and Warm Pita Bread Mixed Greens with Olives and Cherry Tomatoes, Red Wine Vinaigrette & Israeli Feta Piri Piri Rubbed Organic Brant Sirloin Steak, Herbed Chimichurri Grilled Chicken Breast, Hot Pepper Sauce and House-Made Yogurt Catch of the Day, Heirloom Tomato Relish ( Served with Pistachio Couscous with Dried Cranberries & Cilantro, Grilled Zucchini Ribbons) Thanks so much for recommending this group. It was a magical night for all involved. ~Gary Gackstatter, St. Louis Community College at Meramec This was the real deal! …Kinobe was as gracious off stage as on, no ego, no high maintenance. He was a consummate professional …and what a show! To say the band was a hit at the Islands Folk Festival is an understatement, they ended up being the top selling CD artist for the entire Festival. Kinobe and Soul Beat Africa performed one of the best shows we have seen at our venue. Engaging, entertaining, enlightening - you can't say enough about this group. They wow you with their talent, intrigue you with their storied instruments and, most importantly make you smile. How can you go wrong going to a show that makes you smile? ~ Mark Mangold, The Nightcat Kinobe & Soul Beat Africa represented the largest turn out to date for the September Explosion. The performance was great and the interaction with the audience proved to be not only entertaining, but educational. The residency was indeed a success! ~ Dr. Sebronette Barnes, Cheney University Not only are they a great group of men, but amazing performers. Kinobe and Soul Beat Africa delivers sounds and rhythms that move and inspire you. Guaranteed to have the time of your life! Margie, we sent the band off this morning with food and love. I must say that this was a powerful spiritually enriching encounter that will not soon be forgotten. Daniel shared a wonderful story around the dinner table last night, complete with singing and then shared some of his passions about "Archiving Little Voices" and bringing his daughter here to the US for education. Kinobe gifted my wife with a collection of CD's, one in particular that he thought might be appropriate for her Yoga and Meditation teachings. Anyhow, we have been truly blessed by this experience. Ivan circled us up this morning before they left and shared the most beautiful blessing that touched the deepest recesses of my heart. I can't say enough about the genuine love and calm peace that these gentlemen are sharing. Thank you for your commitment to bringing acts like this to the world and we would certainly welcome them with open hearts and refrigerator. ~Tommy George Pasta & Provisions We all enjoyed a wonderful show with Kinobe and the band last night! What beautiful, charismatic & talented men. There was a huge audience too!
